2002 LOCAL HOUSING REHAB ASSISTANCE PROGRAM The Local Housing Rehab Assistance Program is intended to assist owner occupied, year round, single family housing units, occupied by local low-to-moderate income persons. Eligible Repairs
Upon verification of eligibility, the OECD will inspect the property with the homeowner and determine the nature and extent of repairs needed to bring the property to a safe and sanitary condition. Since the Housing Rehab Assistance Program uses public funds to help families in need to improve their homes, mortgages are written at 5% simple interest, which you may not have to repay until your property is sold or transferred.
NOTE: *Income guidelines are subject to periodic change. The Local Housing Rehab Assistance Program, is a component of the Massachusetts Community Block Grant Program (CDBG) and is funded by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development. The Program's goal is to assist owner occupied, year round, single family housing units where gross household income does not exceed the HUD Low-to-Moderate Income guidelines.
