Building Department Residential Wiring Permit Fee Schedule
Basic Fee:
New houses, single family dwelling or each individual unit of
multiple family dwellings $85.00. Includes boiler or furnace,
permanent service, smoke detectors, receptacles, lights, appliance & low voltage
systems if the above are included in the wiring permit and are ready for
inspections at the same time as the rough inspections. If done on a
separate permit the fees below will prevail.

DOUBLE FEES FOR WORK STARTED WITHOUT A WIRING PERMIT
Notice:
- Before any permits are granted for the installation of
wiring the person or corporation making the application for such permit
shall pay the Town of Middleborough a fee in such amount as noted above.
- Applications must be accompanied with payment and proper
identification and be filed prior to commencing work.
- Work must be performed by a Mass. Licenses Electrician
with proper insurance and must comply with all applicable codes and shall be
inspected by the local authority having jurisdictions.
- All permits issued shall be deemed abandoned and invalid
unless the work authorized by it shall have been commenced within one year
after its issuance.
